We have another day of great golf and fun on the schedule. PLUS! New this year we are awarding CASH prizes to the Men's team and the Women's team with the lowest gross score! That's right, $400 in cash. to those 2 teams.

We also have some really great prizes for our Chinese Raffle:  Rounds of golf, gift certificates & really wonderful items.  Last year we had 46 prizes! Golfers get tickets included with registration; there will be a way to win more before the start of the match. Extra sheets of tickets will be on sale to increase your chances of winning. In fact anyone can buy tickets even non-golfers for just $10 for 25 chances. In a Chinese raffle each item is it's own raffle. Put your ticket(s) in the cup next to the item you want. This way you don't win something you cannot use!

The NCSPCA is the only shelter in all of Essex County. Our no-kill shelter provides loving care to more 300 cats and dogs each year. It costs approximately $13.50 per day to house, care for and feed each animal.  We socialize and train the animals to give each one an opportunity for a new life.

We always need sponsors as well as players for one of our largest fundraisers of the year.

Remember you can sponsor a tee for just $100. What a great way to honor your pet or someone who loved animals by helping other animals who were not so lucky. Rest assured the total amount of your $100 sponsorship is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law PLUS the entire gift will be used to directly support the animals at the shelter. You can sponsor a tee even if you are NOT a golfer, what a great way to show your support for the shelter.

Hello and Welcome to the NCSPCA Golf Tournament Blog.

We are so very proud to announce that Rolling Hills Farm in Westport has signed on as our Tournament Sponsor! Thank you so much!!!! This means Rolling Hills Farm will be sponsoring the
$5000 putting contest.
Yes! You read that correctly! One lucky person will take home $5,000 for sinking a 50 ft putt.

All you golfers are already sinking putts of that distance on a regular basis. All you need to do is get your foursome registered for the Friday, September 13th Tournament at www.ncspca.org. You can use PayPal to fully complete your registration.

Our goal is have an 8am morning session as well as a 1pm afternoon session with a buffet lunch and the "Big Putt" during the noon break. Players will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets. One lucky player will be chosen to sink that big payoff putt! You can buy as many raffle tickets as you want. The more you buy the more your chances are increased that you will be the one to win the chance to putt.

Sponsorships are $1000 (field a team for free) $500.00 (includes $150.00 credit toward fielding a team of 4) or a $100 for a Hole Sponsor. $500 and up sponsors who sign up before August 8th will be listed on the posters that will be placed throughout our region. Plus we need gifts for our Chinese Basket Raffle...Company Logo gear is cool, I love to get coolers, cozy's or shirts! All sponsors and gifts will be listed in our thank you ad that will run in the Valley News and the Times of Ti. These papers are mailed to every home in Essex County.

Any thoughts you might have for sponsors, extra games to play that day or any other ideas just let me know. We want this to be a tournament that you and your friends want to play every year.

Some important information about entries:

• Please complete your entry by Monday, July 16 to allow us time to plan number of meals as well as carts and hole sponsor signs.

Westport CS Kids team with NCSPCA

 

Students from Westport CS, with help from Pam Brush and Susan Satloff, spent the day creating artwork and poetry to be used as posters at each of the 18 holes at our tournament on Friday, Oct 7. Individual posters can be viewed at NCSPCA Feed the Kitty! Competition.

On the day of the golf tournament, golfers will be able to "vote" with quarters (or other denominations) for their favorite entrants for "Feed the Kittty!". The entrant collecting the most $ will become our Gimme Shelter! "Fat Cat". All money will be matched $ for $ and go toward a new shelter for these and future NCSPCA residents.

Feed the Kitty! Sponsorship

Probably the MOST FUN Sponsorship Available! Here are the details:

• Cost is $200 (more is always appreciated and is 100% tax deductible)
• You'll be listed as a "Tournament Sponsor"
• Rolls of quarters will be available to tournament players at cost ($10 for 40 quarters)
• Your Business Name or Personal Message will appear on every one of the 18 tee boxes during the tournament and at a special table at Registration.
• Alongside your message at each location will be a collection box with a photo and special message from one of our Shelter Cats.
• Golfers will be encouraged to "Feed the Kitty" by placing quarters or other loose change in the boxes of their choice.
• At conclusion of play, all boxes will be collected and volunteers will tally donations.
• The kitty with the most $ becomes our "Gimme Shelter" Fat Cat!
• Graphics, such as company logo or photo will appear on your sign if received 2 weeks prior to date of tournament: Friday, Sept 23. Final deadline for text only is Friday, Sept. 30.

Planning for 2011 Inaugural Golf Event
